Proud Sponsors of Mastiff Hope in Kansas City, KS

On Sunday, July 27 Premier Photography was in Overland Park, KS taking photos at an even hosted by Mastiff Hope. The session time and all proceeds from prints ordered from our website are being donated to help Mastiff Hope in their efforts to help mastiffs find a loving home. There were several dogs that ran an agility course that included a table, a tunnel, jumping, and going through a tire. We had alot of fun watching the antics of the dogs.

All proceeds from this event went to Mastiff Hope Rescue to help pay for Theo's (mastiff) Hip surgery

Tips & Techniques

Whenever I come across an interesting tip or DIY item I will post it here.

Sometimes the on camera flash, or even a mounted one, can give too much direct light on your subject, creating shadows you do not want. Our solution is take a piece of cardstock paper, cut it about 31/2 inches wide at the top and then a notch that fits inside the flash housing. By doing this you can angle the flash up and it will reflect a wider and softer light onto your subject. I will post a photo for this in a day or two.

Portraits will soon be offered...

My wife and I are both going to start practicing portrait photography so that we can offer it in addition to the other services we are currently offering.

We are going to be photographing a Mastiff Rescue event this coming Sunday. I will post here after wards with some photos of the event.

We are really excited to be going in this new direction!

A Busy Weekend

Friday was July 4th and the first time that Kim and Connor were allowed to light some fireworks (with help from us). After we shot all of our fireworks we went over to the school to watch their display.

We also went to the Patee House, St. Joseph Museum and the Glore Psychiatric Museum. We did not take the kids to the last one. It was a very fun day for everyone.
